This year marks my 13th year at my favorite gathering of all time: #MMW !
I’m kind of a veteran now😂 so here are my 7 pointers for Miami Music Week… and the most important one: HAVE FUN!🚀
1. Transportation!
Too much demand, too little supply.
Taxis and Uber are overbooked and getting one can take hours.
People are often stranded and traffic is heavy.
PLAN AHEAD! arrange pickup beforehand if you can.
Check traffic on WAZE (some spots get stuck for hours) and if you’re downtown take the Miami Loop train (its free)

2. The weather!
Check the wind factor and the weather before leaving the house.
Miami can get super hot and chilly in the matter of a few hours.
Don’t be fooled by the initial feeling “it’s warm!”; that wind sneaks up on you lol

3. Drink water!
There are hundreds of hospitalizations during MMW for dehydration and overheating.
Tons of free water stations and ways to get water.
Bring a refillable bottle or buy a water bottle and make sure to drink it hourly!

4. Book your parties/tickets in advance!
prices at the doors are at least 2X than buying online.
Google discount codes and check hashtag and location on Instagram

5. Curfew!
Thanks to ratchet spring breakers, Miami Beach has a midnight curfew for all of MMW.
Expect crowds to rush out at midnight and transportation to be scarce.
Parties will be happening downtown/midtown after midnight, but the 3 bridges become super congested.

6. Bring a battery!
Phones die and people get stranded.
All those videos and pics drain your battery.
Get a light portable battery and never be without your lifeline.

7. Wear smart shoes!
Wear gel soles and flats or thick platforms because you’re going to walk and dance a whole lot.
Wearing heels even once can take a toll on your whole week!💀
