Annie Wersching Instagram – Sick of #Picard posts yet? 😉👑👽Never, you say?! Great! In honor of our panel at @wondercon today, this one goes out to the incredible artists who designed, executed and applied this tricky prosthetic. In the beginning I was called 4 hours before I was due on set. That included everything…hair in a bun, bald cap, crown on, 10 overlapping prosthetics, airbrushing and hand painting. Then costume and corset and all the rest. We very quickly got the whole shebang down to 2 1/2 hours! I’d go film some snarky BQ scenes and then it would take about 25 mins to remove the makeup pieces. I would let my hubs/family know I was almost finished by sending one of these ridiculous pics of prosthetics being cut off my face! 🤣 Some of my favorite times throughout my whole #StarTrekPicard experience were sitting in the chair being worked on by @jrmackinnon amd @kevinkirkpatrickart. I mean….what talent! And what great humans.❤️@vincentvandykefx and his team created piece after piece and @nevillepage was the concept artist for the whole thing! They did all of this while under the strictest of Covid protocols. I applaud them tremendously and I’m sure they’ll win lots of Emmys. 🏆 As they should! Don’t even get me started on @christineclarkdesign and @syzygy_designs and their ridiculously amazing detailed fittings and BQ costume…We’ll save that for next week ;) @startrek @startrekonpplus #picardbts
