Good morning! As we continue to see number coming in from all over the world — it’s just absolutely amazing how much money all of you raised for the animals through #thebettywhitechallenge�. She could never have imagined such an outpouring of love and would have be so grateful to everyone. When we recorded her special message to fans who attended the movie, we also recorded one that we had planned to put on social media on her birthday. She was using the occasion of her 100th birthday to celebrate YOU – her fans. She knew how lucky she was; she felt the love, and she never took it for granted. I think it’s appropriate to post today as a thank from Betty and the animals ❤️

Betty was never happier than when she had her hands on an animal.
Although Betty’s beloved Golden Retriever, Pontiac, passed away in 2017, we made sure she always had opportunities to get her hands on fur babies. In this picture from early 2020 she’s meeting my new-at-the-time pup, Molly.
During the pandemic, Betty received more fan mail than ever (and she easily received hundreds to even thousands of letters each week during pre-pandemic times). She did her best to sign and respond to as many as she could and always felt badly that we never managed to get through them all.
These two DEFINITELY left footprints on each others’ hearts. And the heart pendant that Betty always wore was a gift from the beautiful (inside and out) Jennifer Love Hewitt. She visited our office with her sweet pup, Maddie. It was a true love fest.

Some of my most cherished memories of Betty involve seeing her with animals. She simply glowed. It was the simplest, most joyous, purest form of love.

Two of Betty’s absolute favorites – Bam Bam and Bob. They were in our office and she greeted each upon arrival – “hi fellas,” and blew them kisses when she’d leave – “she ya next time.” On the occasion of her 98th Birthday they got dressed up for the celebration 😃
