It was heartening to join @ariel.india โs #ShareTheLoad event with @nehadhupia , #ShimitAmin and #SharatVerma for a thought-provoking conversation on gender equality in the division of household chores. Household chores should not be the sole responsibility of women, but instead a combined responsibility both partners shoulder together. Because an equal household is a happier household. I truly believe that having a conversation with your partner can help open up our eyes to our own biases, and so can seeing stories around us where women are breaking stereotypes and demanding equality. Together, we have the power to change the future and ensure that we see everyone as equals. Because when we see equal, we share equal.
And in @ariel.india , I have found a like-minded brand who also believes in working towards making the equal tomorrow a reality sooner than later.

When I read this post that my sister @priyabalances put out,I was stumped..I had never considered what she must have felt like going back to work post a 6 year sabbatical that she took after she gave birth to twins.
And because sheโs been my hero ..the one who always knows โฆ the one with all the answersโฆthe one whoโs always in chargeโฆI donโt think I could even imagine that she could be in a position where she felt like she needs to prove a point.But I guess even heroes face biases โฆ the beauty is sheโs never made a big deal of it โฆ sheโs always been a doer so she just went ahead and did what she didโฆ and continues to do what she does โฆ whether its being a successful advertising professional , an ever present mother to twins โฆ ie. a WORKING MOM, a wife , a daughter , a sister, a daughter inlaw, a homemaker, a friend etc etcโฆ
