Nakul Instagram – I was so enamoured Ms. Preethi Srinivasan’s @soulfreetrust speech that only in between her words did I realise that many people should hear her out and that this should be recorded. I felt low because she was given an award as an appreciation for her work but did not get the opportunity to fully speak her heart out. I truly appreciate the Event organisers who gave her that opportunity even though the chief guest was a VVIP and was under time constraints, even then.. everyone in the event, VVIP included were kind enough to hear her out. I feel she struck the right chord even though she had only a few moments to speak There’s honesty in her words, her voice, her eyes … a call for help which must not go unheard.. Im so proud that I actually met an amazingly inspiring person that day, such a strong woman, an intelligent woman.. I found her to be the most educated (she’s working on her doctorate) and brilliant award recipient. Yet a person like this was out there wanting our attention to help us realise that there are brilliant and beautiful people like her out there to whom fate has done injustice and they need our help in being heard, they need accessibility. Please fam, do spread the word and support in whatever way you can. There might be the next great Abdul Kalam or some other great person like Stephen Hawking out there who could change the world.. but because of a freak accident lives change and dreams get shattered. Ms. Preethi, is a fighter, she has not given up.
