This is a story that appears on the surface to be a bad chapter in a local football club’s history (I know, obviously I’m your go-to pundit for that 🥴) but is actually so much bigger than that, it centres around a master scam artist driven by ego, power and greed. It takes so many unbelievable turns. A real Catch Me If You Can epic. To Ben who lived this story but generously let me tell it and took me to my first Notts match, Carl who honed and polished this mad tale and made it sing and Nick who kindly treated me to curly fries in Hooters…we did it 🧡 (Also thanks Matt Toulson for the always cheerful tech support!)
