Time to say goodbye to a group of friends, collaborators, co-workers with big hearts. A wonderful experience with terrific scene partners who held me up graciously through a couple traumatic weeks filming. And kept teaching me weekly when I was invited to play with them. Thanks to the writers for letting me portray an Afghan – American girl, modestly traditional and not religious. Just a girl on a broadcast television sitcom who happens to be Afghan, and pretty proud of it.
It was a delight to meet and work with so many afghans on screen & in the writers room! And to be given the chance to break out my dance moves at wrap!
