Kassandra Clementi Instagram – I’m hurting. We’re all hurting. Anyone who is paying attention is hurting. The world is going from one crisis to another and there is no respite.

Humankind is able to be so much better than this and yet collectively there is so much pain caused to each other and the planet and everything that inhabits it.

Anyone who knows me knows I love babies. My Instagram explore page is entirely animals and human infants because the internet is a scary place and it knows me.

Loving babies has nothing to do with my view on abortion and everything to do with the people those babies grow to be and hoping they have access to health care and the choice to have autonomy over their one and only precious body.

The over turning of Roe V Wade would inconvenience those with access to finances but they would be able to travel to a state that allows them to have access to safe and legal abortion. Those who will be gravely effected are those who cannot afford to do so. Their choices at that point are torturous and horrific.

Other peoples bodies are none of our business. Not unless they ask us to be. And I don’t think any person with a uterus, or any trans or non-binary people or anyone else under threat of losing bodily autonomy are going to Mitch McConnell and his friends for advice on what to do with our being. They can’t be the decision makers here.

EDIT – the sign in the first post is directed at male politicians trying to overturn roe. We DO need men to speak up.
