Liza Lapira Instagram – @FabFilipinoBros is a funny, endearing, crazy wild ride, with one of the most not-obscene-but-most-definitely-obscene meet cute moments ever put on film.
Dante Basco directed a movie with four distinctly different leading men starring in four vignettes of their own. I have never seen an American leading man of Filipino heritage on my screen, much less four of them in one movie. These talented (& fabulous) Filipino American Brothers are heroes in their own stories. And between me, Solenn, Cheryl, Crystal, and Ariana, Dante gives us a peek at five different leading ladies too, heroines in our own stories.
I could say – See it to support independent movies. Or Fil-Am led movies. Or see it because these brothers, and sister, weren’t given a chance at leading roles that matched their abilities So. They. Made. Them.
But really – See it because it’s good. Dante, Darion, and Dion and Ari wrote a really good film that’s about their family, but really, everyone’s.
