People who don’t know what to expect must be the most disappointed ones by the festival. I share my experience. 1. Coachella is about discomfort. The sun is scorching from all sides, dust gets into your face, it’s hard to breathe. And hanging out for 12 hours for three days in a row is just physically hard. Think about everything in advance so that you feel comfortable, and be sure to take sweaters with you. 2. Coachella is expensive For example, a taxi from Palm Springs to Coachella costs $50-200. Hotels cost tenfold, and a normal hotel will cost $700-800 per day. You definitely shouldn’t expect that it will be a cool and inexpensive festival experience. 3. Coachella is not about fun, but about blogging and showing off At some point, the festival turned from a musical one into a show of outfits, dresses and creating content. Compared to other festivals, the atmosphere here is more smug and formal. And that’s why there is less vibe. Mistakes I’ve made this year. Don’t repeat after me: – don’t buy a VIP ticket, it’s not worth it; – fly directly to Palm Springs airport, and not to Los Angeles, so as not to lose one day; – book all hotels in advance; – dress comfortably to enjoy the music, not thinking that it’s cold/hot/too tight, etc. Who went to Coachella or wants to visit?
