Mahathir Mohamad Instagram – Dasar Pandang Ke Timur telah dilancarkan 40 tahun yang lalu. Selain meninggikan prestasi pengurusan dan pembangunan Negara menerusi teknologi, ianya juga bertujuan mewujudkan masyarakat Malaysia yang diterap dengan nilai serta etika kerja yang tinggi. Hingga kini lebih 26,000 rakyat Malaysia telah berjaya di hantar ke Jepun. Hari ini ketika lawatan ke Jepun, saya berkesempatan berdialog bersama Komuniti Malaysia di Jepun (KMJ). Mereka ini bukan sahaja terdiri daripada pelajar-pelajar Malaysia di Jepun tetapi juga mereka yang telah bekerja di Jepun. Banyak soalan-soalan yang diberi termasuk mengenai ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan sistem pendidikan dan hala tuju negara. Saya harap mereka dapat berbakti kepada negara dan membantu negara untuk jadi negara maju yang berjaya, disamping berpegang kepada nilai yang positif serta etika kerja yang tinggi, termasuklah nilai-nilai seperti amanah, jujur, sanggup berusaha keras, berdisiplin dan yang utama, menjauhkan diri dari rasuah.
