Labels are what kids my age use to categorize people. The popular kid. The athlete. The rich kid. The loner.
We’re not labels. Labels are meant for clothing and things you buy to wear or use in your daily life.
Some of the labels I’ve been given? The Asian Kid. They forget that I’m half Italian. The Rich Kid. They don’t see how hard my parents work, or the sacrifices they’ve made to get to where they are now. Those labels, whether good or bad, do not define me.
