After a huge month of traveling through the land of Israel. I draw closer and closer to the end of this leg of my journey here.
Will I be back?
Yes.
I’ve made way to many new friends to stay away too long. The people who proudly wave the Israeli flag have been nothing but generous, kind, compassionate and loving every step of the way.
I’ve lost count the amount of times someone has stopped me in the street to say a simple thank you. Thank you for being one of the few people who would stand with this little nation which is and always will be the apple of God’s eye.
The truth is simple. Israel is God’s story. From 12 tribes to a people more numerous then the stars in the sky.
And despite all the hate and attacks that other nations have and continue to throw at them, here, Today they will celebrate 74 years being back in the Land the God of creation promised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and I’m right here to celebrate this with them 🇮🇱

Remembering the fallen today here in Israel. To Those who lost brothers or sisters, those who lost family or friends, those who lost sons or daughters.
This nation fought for freedom and remains to be free thanks to those who have laid their lives down for a friend.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Thus those who don’t belong in the kingdom of heaven are the prideful.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Thus those who glorify sin in this present age & celebrate wickedness as a good thing will lack comfort or peace.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Thus those who live loosely, holding no higher standard of behavior directed by God while only serving self will find no inheritance to be gained at a future date.
Blessed are those who hunger & thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Thus those who refuse to pursue God & His given Word will find themselves in a constant state of lacking. consistently hungry, constantly thirsty despite filling themselves with every desire of this world.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy.
Thus those who refuse to forgive, will face a day where forgiveness will not be available to them. We often say only God can judge, But let’s not forget God said He will ultimate bring us under a day of judgement.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Thus those who live in sin, continuing to be lovers of sin will be left in the dark, blind to their own surroundings thus losing their ability to see God or even God’s work which continues to unfold around them in others.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Thus we will either be ambassadors for Christ presenting people a clear path for their spirit to be reconciled with the one true God or we will remain as children of wrath who only appeal to the desires of the flesh.
Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Thus those who continue to persecuted the believers of God will not find themselves present in God’s coming Kingdom.
Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you & say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on account of Me. Rejoice & be glad, for your reward in heaven is great!
Thus no reward is waiting for the individual, group or religious system that attacks Jesus, His truth or His followers
How far we all come to seek out Jesus and How far and how often Jesus came to find people like us who were searching for the truth.. looking for His peace And pursuing His purpose over our lives.

Independence of Israel wasn’t achieved with a strong military force. It was achieved by the strong arm of the Adonai.
Just as it was said.
“the great trials which your eyes saw and the signs and the wonders and the mighty hand and the outstretched arm by which the Lord your God brought you out. So shall the Lord your God do to all the peoples of whom you are afraid”

Spending time with the samaritans on the mountain of blessing (Gerizim) described in the book of Joshua..
The samaritans are An ancient people who’s story continues to unfold today. I have had the pleasure to make new friends on this mountain And I continue to keep in touch with them today.
It is Truly incredible coming to a land such as Israel and walking on the roads & paths of our Lord Jesus.
Meeting the people of this land as he did. Those who have returned, those who have been found and those who are still seeking to this day.
What is our task – the gospel.
How does that begin – meeting people where they are.
Sharing Jesus in both spirit & in truth, to Works that out & what this means is how we as followers of the way can truly perfect our worship of the one true God.
John’s gospel chapter 6 – you will find Jesus speaking where I am pictured sitting.
A synagogue that during Jesus’ day would have been some meters below this one But the same location none the less.
Here Jesus will deliver the first of His famous “I am” statements.
Jesus will say;
I am the bread of life, Whoever comes to me will never be hungry & whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
The ancient Israelites in their wilderness wanders had to rely on God to provide manna (bread) & water. God Did.
Note: They still had to collect it, but it was God who provided it for them.
Jesus is making that parallel between the Jewish people of Old needing bread from God & the Jewish people of His time needing Him.
The BREAD OF LIFE.
Our essential daily need to just survive.
Jesus will go on to say that everyone the Father gives him, will come to Him & ANYONE who comes to him he will NEVER reject. That’s the invitation.
So if we know the invitation, what’s the promise?
Jesus will say it FOUR times that whoever believe He is the Messiah they will be granted eternal life. And according to Jesus, He (himself) will raise them up ON THE LAST DAY.
Jesus made two things very clear in this exchange with the religious critics.
First – It will be He who raises up the dead. Meaning Jesus is claiming to have the power to give life. That’s a a God claim if God is the author of life.
The second is this – He will do this on the last day. Let me repeat JESUS’ words so you catch it “ON THE LAST DAY”.
So We will all fall asleep, Paul explains to the Thessalonians, kings like David would join their fathers who have fallen asleep before them.
And it will be Jesus who raises them up from this SLEEP
You see to the one who gives life, when we die, we are merely asleep to him. This means no heaven yet. You wait.. as we will all wait. Wait Until the messiah raises all men & women to face the reality of who God truly was & is.
Don’t wait till this last day to know who God is. Seek Jesus now. Seek him with everything you have because nothing will matter more on that day then knowing God in spirit and truth.
Eternal life is only for the one who believes in this temporary life.
The valley of Elah.
The valley where a future king of Israel defeated a giant of a man from Gath.
A place where a rag tag group of Israelites gathered to stand before the Violent nature of a foreign invading army known as the philistines
(Who’s Origins come from Crete)
Where The current elected King (Saul) who was chosen by the people, also chose to hide himself away from standing before this man giant Goliath.
This is the place where a brave young shepherd would be willing to walk on to this battle field & stand against Goliath & the entire philistine army who consistently mocked the only living God. Men who took great pleasure in war & death of God’s people.
Yet With one stone, one swing David a shepherd from Bethlehem (also the birth place of Jesus) would defeat Goliath. On seeing this the Israelite would be completely emboldened to pursue these enemies who had previously sparked great fear in their sight.
We as Christian’s have seen what Yeshua has done, we have read how He, like king David is and was the Good shepherd willing to lay His life done for His sheep.
We have come to understand that His crucifixion was that one stone and that one swing throw by God to defeat that single standing enemy that came to mock and spark fear in all men and women – Sin & Death.
No elected king or Israelite could defeat this enemy. And no elected man, prophet, priest or elected ruler could ever defeat death on our behalf. Especially not in this single direct action. God himself says in the tanakh/Old Testament through the prophet Zechariah
For behold! The stone I have laid before Joshua is one stone with seven facets. On it I will engrave an inscription,” declares Adonai-Tzva’ot, “that I will remove the iniquity of this land in one day.”
Salvation from sin which brought about the defeat of our deathly enemy was in God’s hands to save us. He has declared it. Yeshua did it
Hence why Yeshua confirmed it on the cross “it has been completed”. Finished. Signed and sealed.
What an experience to take my group to this place to see how the Bible comes to life in the land. Not a moral story, a real life event to reveal God’s salvation story of Yeshua

Mark’s Gospel tells us that Jesus cried out these words while nailed to a Roman made cross;
“Eloi, Eloi Lema Sabachthani?”
translated to – My God, My God, why have you abandoned me?
John’s gospel informs as that immediately before Jesus will breathe His last breath on the cross he will speak these words “it is finished”.
Interesting to Note;
The gospel of mark is said to be the FIRST recorded of the gospels, while The gospel of John is said to be the LAST recorded of the four gospels. Combine both these gospels & the reader gets valuable puzzle pieces to a much greater picture – God’s Salvation story.
Mark’s account provides the FIRST words of psalm 22 while John’s account provides the reader with the FINAL words of psalm 22.
Did you catch what I just said?
Mark the first recorded gospel gives the beginning of psalm 22 & John the last recorded gospel gives us psalm 22’s finale & final words. Proof we always need to read every book of the Bible.
So You might be thinking what’s so important about psalm 22 Nate? Well it was written by king David about 1,000 years before Jesus’ public ministry & it perfectly describes what Jesus would experience on the cross.
No doubt early Jewish readers of psalm 22 must have been scratching their heads wonder what David was even talking about. Even to this day those who don’t know Jesus’ life events are forced to speculate.
But leave it to Hashem to always declare the end from the beginning.
Just as Hashem declared through the prophet Isaiah
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob says and I quote – I am God, and there is none like me – declaring the end from the beginning, from ancient time, what is yet to come, saying My purpose will stand, and I will accomplish all that I please.” 46:10
Readers of King David’s 22nd psalm were left to wait a thousand years before getting to the point of it all.
And now the point is clear it’s Jesus.
Psalm 22 puts two realities on display 1. the ever present wickedness of godless men in a darkened sin cursed world and
2. the far more important reality we need to see & grasp – the promise of a Glorious God to get the Job done despite man’s best efforts to kill, steal & destroy.
Amen
A morning on the Galilee.
The starting place with Jesus while in this world is always in humility – and in humility the believer will be blessed.
The ending place place with Jesus while in this world is always persecution and in the persecution the believer will be blessed.
We the believers of Jesus must humbly realize our ways are not God’s ways. And we the believers of Jesus Must come to realize a world which has been at Odds with God from the beginning must also be at odds with God’s people till the end.
We the believers will be tested, targeted and taunted if we choose to remain on the narrow path.
Remember – no other path provides peace like the path that leads us to the prince of peace.
A morning on the Galilee can act as a simple reminder. We have another opportunity to walk in the spirit of the LORD.
Jesus took His disciples out on these waters to soften hardened hearts.
Jesus met a women at this very well in modern day Nablus
1. He Told her plainly who He was
THE MESSIAH.
2. He made an offer she thought couldn’t be found in this world
LASTING SATISFACTION
&
3. He challenged her on her past & present life which up until that point accepted sin. Now she had to choice whether to finally
PURSUE A NEW LIFE IN MESSIAH.
She transformed in a moment & because of this transformation others came to belief in Jesus of Nazareth because of her testimony.
Now listen;
Jesus has told the world who He is.
HE IS MESSIAH.
The one God sent to save.
The one Who God promised was coming to save.
Jesus has made an offer to all men and women.
An offer of GRACE, a way in which God can deal with our sin, account them & remove their marks.
God will accept us IF we accept His son.
THIS IS THE OFFER.
This offer doesn’t make sense to the guilty when we look at the goodness of Jesus. “Nothing this good could be freely offered” & yet God has once again broken our very understanding of what heavenly Goodness looks like.
We live in a world where we can’t make sense of God’s goodness & we desperately try to make sense of our own sin.
Jesus who is God in the flesh set the law (Torah) in place & has come to challenge us on the very illogical nature of our sin. No matter how you cut it – sin never makes sense. It’s stupid. We all lose with it. A sinful world will make less & less sense the longer you live.
So the question that stands is this;
Will you be a person who transforms if you hear the true gospel of Jesus Christ as this women at the well did 2,000 years ago.
We can also participate in brining more people to a freedom that can only be found in the one true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob & the Son whom He sent. A son who wound ultimately be the lamb of God to take away the sins of His people. JESUS
God isn’t who we want him to be. GOD IS & ALWAYS WILL BE WHO HE CLAIMS TO BE & we must decide daily whether to drink His living water that has been poured out for us or continue to try and create our own cisterns that a broken and corrupted lacking any ability to hold water or any substance of its own.
We need Messiah to Come to the father.
This is a first century synagogue in magdala, located in northern Israel. It Dates back some 2,000 years.
I have little doubt that Jesus came & taught the mysteries of God to first century Jews here in this ancient synagogue.
Mary Magdalene who is mentioned in the gospel accounts was also from Here, hence Magdalene – magdala. Mary from magdala.
We also know from the gospels that Jesus went from town to town in this region of Israel preaching the Good news of God. We have records of Jesus teaching in the synagogue of Nazareth & the synagogue of Capernaum. So it’s safe to say if Jesus has any connection to this town He most certainly stepped foot in the remaining boundaries of this structure. Jesus more then likely cast out demons (as was the case with Mary) & most importantly Jesus would have revealed & reminded the people of his time about The undeniable truth of GOD found in the Torah.
This synagogue which has now been Uncovered & discovered proves that Jewish life was In this land long before any sort of ‘Palestinian’ identity had even been crafted.
Why is this important?
It’s important because any where you throw a stone in this land you uncover JEWISH HISTORY.
Which means the Jews are in fact the ancestral people group of this land.
Sadly Pro-Palestinian groups attempt to make the argument that Israel doesn’t exist & is somehow stolen land. But it’s history that doesn’t support this poorly constructed argument.
& If history has to be ignored & truth literally bulldozed in order to gain momentum you know you might be supporting a not so “honest” movement.
I have come across so few pro Palestinian activists online who call for co-existence or peace with Jewish people. Instead it’s all about removing Jewish people by any means necessary, destroying Jewish life & leaving out key details in historical events when explaining this conflict.
Palestinians with Israeli citizenship live freely across ALL places in israel, but you won’t find a single Jew living in a Palestinian controlled area, Why? Because they would likely be murdered.
Those who desire ethnic cleansing – Hamas (Palestinian)
Those who practice apartheid – (Palestinian government)
Truth
A parable of Jesus:
Yeshua presented to them another parable, saying;
The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while the men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. Now when the stalk sprouted and produced grain, then the weeds also appeared. So the slaves of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Master, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Then where did the weeds come from?’ But he replied, ‘An enemy did this.’ Now the slaves say to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go out and gather them up?’ But he says, ‘No, for while you are gathering up the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time, I will tell the reapers, “First, gather up the weeds and tie them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.
Matthew 13:24-30 TLV
Pictured above is both the Wheat and the weed. Looks similar no? Imagine trying to distinguish the difference from the beginning..
This means God’s chosen and children of wrath will live together, grow together & won’t be separated till the end – When messiah returns.
Those who have a belief that all will be saved regardless of following Jesus may have to avoid reading this type of parable from Jesus. It doesn’t fit well.
Those unsure whether he or she is wheat or weed merely needs to ask themselves this question – How much or how little do I care for producing Good fruit for the God’s kingdom today
Note; The appearance of producing fruit but not producing any fruit is the principal quality of a deceiving weed. The thought doesn’t count in this scenario. This isn’t about work, this is about committing to a Christian’s calling. Desire not obligation.
The weeds will be thrown into the fire first in this parable. Then finally the wheat will be taken into the barn. Pre-tribulation rapture doesn’t really fit well into these words of Jesus. Which is why I don’t believe in the notion that Christian’s will be saved from the final days of this wicked world.
So to the wheat reading this caption. Endure to the end! Jesus is our Come back king. The harvest is plenty! Do a work worthy of our master
Words are powerful & Anything that holds such power also needs to come with great caution.
Just as Guns should cover safety practices & restrictions just as cars should comply with road rules & limits
Communication is faster & the means in which we can Communicate has increased beyond belief.
But have these two factors made us forget the power & danger that all words can carry?
Just because words can be typed out doesn’t mean they automatically carry less weight. People will say all kinds of hate-filled things here on social media, which they wouldn’t dare say directly to someone’s face.
But that is the sad nature of this present age
Humanity is flippant with words and We are all guilty of saying things long before we think & even longer before we may truly understand or care to understand at all.
But There is a cost to such reckless word behavior.
Look at what Jesus states about man’s pride to freely speak What ever “truth” he or she feels in any given moment
He says;
But I tell you that on the Day of Judgment, men will give account for every careless word they speak. For by your words you will be justified, & by your words you will be condemned. Matt 12:36-37
Solomon puts it like this;
Do not be quick with your mouth nor hasty in your heart to utter a word in God’s presence. For God is in heaven, and you are on the earth— therefore, let your words be few. As a dream comes with excessive burdens so a fool’s voice with too many words. When you swear a vow to God, don’t delay in fulfilling it. For He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow! It is better for you not to vow than to vow and not pay. Don’t let your mouth lead your flesh to sin, and don’t say before the messenger, “It was a mistake!” Why should God be angry at your voice and destroy the work of your hands? Many dreams and many words are meaningless. Therefore, fear God!”
Ecclesiastes 5:1-6 TLV
His final line really gives you the solution. Fear God. Do not be like man & say what you wish but first seek real knowledge & understanding before you open your lips
If what drives your words most is pure EMOTION you will always be the most RECKLESS driver on any road of communication
Anyone can – Not nearly enough actually will;
Open & read God’s word.
Many will say – but very few will actually believe;
God is everything.
All will be judged – yet only a remnant will actually be saved;
God’s pending prediction.
It will require faith to read His word, faith to listen to His voice, faith to walk in His ways and faith to follow His son.
Hannah exults God in first samuel! And here in Shiloh I read these words.
The promised king has come – Jesus
You can learn about Jesus from a in-depth study of His word.
You can live like Jesus from an application of His commandments.
But if you want an encounter with Jesus you must believe.
And what seems like the easiest task on this list, actually becomes the most difficult and complicated for every individual alike.
To truly believe that Jesus was and is The God of creation. To believe He is working now just as He was working with the people of old. To believe He is the anointed one who was sent By the Father to reveal the fullness of the GOD.
And finally To believe that it will be Jesus who can and will be responsible for raising up His faithful on the last day.
A lifetime of belief can start today for many. And I pray that it does.
Reading, apply principals has no value without belief. Because it’s the belief that saves. It’s that belief that will radically change any heart to something new, something better, something God intended from the beginning.
