Two months ago, we had yet to meet our baby girl. We had no idea how she would arrive, or in which way she’d make her grand and unforgettable entrance. We had no idea what her first cry would sound like, or how it would bring us to tears of relief in every way a person can feel it. We had no idea how beautiful her tiny hands would be, or how big her hilarious little tuft of jack-jack hair would make us smile. We didn’t know that her toes would look like baby cheese puffs, or that her eyes and perfect face would reflect the absolute likeness of her daddy and beautiful Nana. Rozlo is two months old, and all the things we had no idea about have quickly become a highlight reel for our family. Here’s to looking back fondly on the path we walked to get here. Half the time we barely knew where we were stepping, but God’s crazy grace, love, and guidance brought us the most precious little girl we could’ve ever dreamed of. It’s a very grateful kind of moment 🤎 Thank you @katemoorephoto for capturing these precious moments!!! You are brilliant, generous, and were a breath of fresh air amidst a very emotional time.

My most precious, darling Rozlo. It’s been over two weeks since her birth and already feels like “how is that possible…” Time and sleep are as if a vortex, but so are the historical laughter moments when Ryan and I are singing her a lullaby and busting up laughing at her milk drunk faces and smiles. The closeness, her responses to us, the gas and blowouts that create a diary of hilarious memories, the tiny feet prints that took us forever to get pretty close to right, seeing tiny baby chub rolls starting to form, washcloth facials that we call her spa time, Ryan and Rozlo daddy-daughter hours in the mornings so I can catch a couple extra hours of sleep, delicious meals and love from so many close friends, my mom and dad being here to help SO much and cleaning every inch of our house inside and out, that relief feeling when the sun comes up and we successfully made it through another night, the true and undeniable journey of breastfeeding, the pain that nipples can truly inflict upon a person, and the way that all of this newness and learning and sleepiness and glorious adventure makes sense because Rozlo is here and this new chapter is nothing short of an answer to so many prayers. To my incredible husband and baby-daddy @sirgunnarson ♥️ thank you for every “what can I get you,” and “go lay down, I’ve got this,” kind gesture, coconut water run, diaper change, bottle feed, late night hour partnering, early morning hero moment, and everything in between that you’ve been doing for Rozlo and I.
