John is a philosopher who works closely with @theschooloflifelondon – the global organisation devoted to teaching people how to lead a more fulfilled life. Their YouTube channel has over 6 million subscribers. I wish there had been A School of Life when I was a child/teenager, it really is amazing. John is also a distinguished author. His books cover a range of themes including art, beauty and civilisation. My favourites = Art as Therapy and Big Ideas for Curious Minds. He works closely with Alain de Botton. John tells us about the battles he’s had with shyness, how all humans are pretty idiotic – and that’s ok! – and he shares an emotional story about a garden centre. Thank you John!
