Dita Von Teese Instagram – Walking on the famed #FoliesBergere glass runway is daunting, to say the least. Vintage glass tiles encased in raised metal, occasionally shifting underfoot… and if I got too close to the “safe” edge, my ankles grazed the lightbulbs. Those @foliesbergere_officiel #showgirls of the past surely had an expert coach for this advanced glamour assignment. For the Folies revues in the #50s, the seats underneath the glass runway were the most coveted. After being granted permission to try this, I didn’t dare inquire about the level even higher above the stage… and certainly did not ask about the swing that came out of the ceiling once upon a time! 😳 Merci to the team at Folies Bergère for getting the ladder out and indulging me. 💋💋
