Golshifteh Farahani Instagram – March 8th The international day of the woman The day women stood up for their independence I feel we need many international days as a reminder: international anti war day, anti racism, anti dictatorship, anti environmental destruction, anti ignorance day, anti stupidity day, anti ego and anti a world driven by testosterone day. Do we learn from the past? To live a better present? To build a brighter future ? I don’t have the answer but I know no matter how sad the world has become, life is still worth living. Life is worth celebrating. Celebrating those tiny little moments of humanity fully lived. Those eternal moments of love and kindness. So despite the devastating time we are living in, I celebrate women. Our mothers and grandmothers, our daughters, sisters, partners and wives. The female. The womb. Our earth. Happy international women’s day. هشتم مارس روز جهانى زن. روزى كه زنان براى حقوق و استقلال خود، ايستادند. تو گويى امروزه روز، روزهاى جهانى زيادى براى يادآورى به انسانها احتياج أست. روز جهانى نه به جنگ، نه به نابودى طبيعت، نه به نژاد پرستئ ، نه به ديكتاتورى، نه به جهل، ناآگاهى. نه به حماقت. نه به دنيايى كه مردان با منطقِ تستوسترون اداره ميكنند هر چند دنياى ما امروز بسيار تلخ و غمگين شده، اما من امروز زن را جشن ميگيرم. مادران و مادربزرگان را، دختران، همسران را. زن را. رَحِم را. زمين را جشن ميگيرم روزِ جهانى زن مبارك
