Today my heart breaks for the children and families in Uvalde, Texas who are experiencing unimaginable loss. As a 13-year-old seventh grader, I shouldn’t be scared to go to school—but I am. Scared that today might be my last, scared that my friends could be taken away from me for merely doing our job as kids—going to school. I, as well as all of the other kids in our country, are counting on you to make a difference. Please help us.
