Rukmini Vijayakumar Instagram – Day 32: #100daysofinnergrowth with all the travel and performing, training, it’s not easy to pause and find time to reflect. So the tasks of taking quiet walks and having tea on the terrace in solitude for 10 minutes have all evaporated the past two weeks. But amidst the chaos of daily life, reflection is becoming a constant. Places where judgement used to rest, kindness and consideration of another’s perspective have taken residence. And I say this with all honesty because I see myself reacting to some situations/ not reacting to other situations … and then I also simultaneously know how I might have reacted 5 years ago. The process of reflection – which considers one’s own actions in every situation, constantly evaluating whether a choice was made based on a bias, an emotional impetus, ego is never ending. But I’m truly beginning to find the ability to consider my actions calmly… and the moments where I’m overwhelmed by emotion …. Even with respect to a sudden irritation with traffic! Are becoming fewer with each passing day… Though I started with the 100 days… I realise that simple tasks for the day are just a starting point. I can’t really stick with these tasks and expect growth… growth is a slow and cumulative process … so this is what I will share going forward. Thoughts and learning’s …. Not tasks .
