Çağan Şekercioğlu Instagram – Found across the #Neotropics from Costa Rica to #Argentina, tiny (32 gram) ocellated #crake (Micropygia schomburgkii) can be common in some #grassland areas but is nearly impossible to see. After hearing it right at my feet in #Argentina last year but failing to see it after a maddening two-hour effort, I was ecstatic to finally see and photograph it in #Brazil.
