Edi Gathegi Instagram – Tupac Shakur was my HERO, he gave a troubled young black boy strength to move through the world and I cried profusely when he died. Chad and I, through the divine grace of GOD, worked alongside each other on a Tupac project (moments of which are still the greatest experiences of my life) and I’ll never forget Chad’s VOICE, his tone while spittin’ bars with patois sauce. His strength. His presence. He was special even then. With those of us who knew Chad, even for those of us who didn’t, I know there is a wake of inconsolable broken-hearted young black children who’ve just lost their HERO. THE pillar of strength, purpose, and hope, a King to set the example for future Kings. Thank you Chad for shining your star so bright with unmatched inspiration and for spreading joy to all of those who bore witness to your art on and off-screen. Rest In Peace Boseman, you are forever with us.
