John Gallagher Jr. Instagram – Guitar player in my band got Covid so I decided to do the set solo acoustic but then I slammed my finger trying to close a window before the gig and couldn’t even fret a chord without pain so I made the call to try and do a spoken word set. Insane. But the show must go on. So I read the lyrics of several of my newest songs and also decided to do the Indianapolis Speech from Jaws at the last minute. Thought I might be on stage for 5 minutes if I was lucky before they pulled the plug. Lasted 40. Only because people showed up and listened. One of my favorite New York City nights I’ve had in 20 years of living here. Thanks.
