Kalidas Jayaram Instagram – Just thought I will quickly give an update on how I took this vacation. Staying safe is a priority at this moment. This is not an endorsement to travel to the Maldives at this moment. I thought I will tell about some facts which I am being constantly updated by @pickyourtrail team to keep me worry-free. This vacation was planned a couple of months before and the situation was not this bad when we booked everything. I continued with the plan as I was unable to postpone at the last moment due to reasons. So, there is too much different news about the Maldives. Let me clarify everything here for better understanding. As per a recent update, Indian tourists are not allowed to enter inhabited islands (like Male city, Hulhumale where local ppl live). Island resorts (one island one resort) are permitting Indian tourist normally and they are taking good safety measures and social distancing at all times. Thanks to @sunsiyamiruveli & @pickyourtrail for keeping me updated with all the latest updates and taking care of me during this situation. Also, flights between India and Maldives are not halted so I will be back home safely in a couple of days. Even though I had to travel as per my plan, my heart goes out to my fans who are facing tuff times due to this pandemic in India.
