He loved me when I was broken-hearted and he loved me when I fell in love. He loved me when I booked my first big job and he loved me the same when I had no idea what I was doing. He loved me when I was gone for work and he loved me when I was at home laying on the floor with his chin resting on my chest. But when I was diagnosed with cancer, he loved me the most because I needed it and when he was diagnosed with the same, I loved him the most in return—the kind of love that grows even more now that he’s gone. He loved me regardless of my accomplishments or my failures. He didn’t care if I had nothing to do or a thousand things on my schedule. He lovingly demanded I was present with him at all times and for that, I am forever grateful. I miss him painfully. My dog. My love. My Cash.
