Nathaniel Buzolic Instagram – 2,000 years ago Yeshua instructed a man who was blind since birth to go & wash His eyes in the pool of Siloam. The steps I am standing on in this image are the steps that would lead you into the ritual cleansing pool known as Siloam. This is a recent discover in the city of David so we now known it’s location during the second temple period. The blind man did as Yeshua instructed him to do & He returned with something He had never before experienced – His vision – Light, color and humanities blindness to.. Yeshua who claims to be the light of the world. The gospel of John highlights the real spiritual blindness to Who G-d really is & What G-d is actually doing in His story of saving a broken & spiritually bankrupted humanity. The healing of a blind man since birth is miracle of G-d! Surely it should be celebrated as such! However what we find in this story is the opposite. The disciples of Yeshua assumed this man was suffering because of his or his parents sin, the neighbors of the blind man failed to see the miracle & tried to explain it away as someone else. The religious leaders who opposed Yeshua were upset He was healed on a sabbath & thus went on a mission to silence this miracle of Yeshua, trying to silence both the formerly blind man & his parents. What we see as the reader is The lengths people go to to reject the works of G-d and it can only be put down to a willingness to remain blind to who Yeshua is, to His words & also His works. If those who witnessed this miracle first hand refused to believe that the promised Messiah had come, how much more challenging would it be to tell someone about this messiah who will one day return to once again expose a broken world to the truth of G-d. The reality is this – at the end of the story the blind man would SEE Yeshua again. He believed & worshipped him as the promised One to come. Today we may be surrounded by spiritual blindness as was this blind man then. will you worship the king of kings until he returns? ‘The son of man’ that Daniel the prophet saw during his time in Babylon has come.
