This is my favorite episode of our first season and I believe, the most successful at capturing all the things that drew me to making this show in the first place. The deeper parts of Halo, when u get underneath the FPS facade, have always been about humanity’s struggle to be the best version of ourselves. It’s about war, the cost of it and what makes us fight. And it’s about heroism and the true nature of it. Heroism is not easy, and it’s not free. Heroism is not a symbol or an easily recognizable video game avatar. Heroism is deeply human and far more complex. When you look behind the mask, heroism is often born of sacrifice and trauma and carry’s wounds that can last for generations. This episode is dedicated to all of the heroes who have fought for what they believed in and all of the scars that aren’t easily healed. I see you, I love you, I respect you… 🙏🏼❤️
