Kathy Najimy Instagram – An honor to speak today on the steps of City Hall with animal-loving New Yorkers, for @nyclass. It’s time to join 50 other city states and countries who have abolished the cruel and unnecessary torture of these gorgeous horses. They pull 2 ton carriages through the mad busy streets of NYC – through traffic, horns, snow and sweltering heat. Often toppling over & injuring the horses and the passengers. @nyclass has come up with an idea for electric (horseless) carriages that 50 other cities in America have adopted! Even Las Vegas has more humanity than we do. In NYC, horses are whipped, topple over from auto and heat exhaustion and are taken back to four story indoor stalks INSIDE buildings, and get no earth under their hooves, no play, no turn out and their only contact with other horses is nose to butt in line waiting to pull a 2 ton carriage full of tourists.   Please help. If you love animals please tweet, Instagram, speak to your friends and visiting tourists. But most important and effective please contact your council person and say you support the electric carriages and you support the health and lives of these beautiful creatures. Please help us abolish this ridiculous cruel unnecessary abomination. @nyclass has plans for earth friendly, silent electric, trolleys to employ drivers & treat New Yorkers & tourists to the beauty of Central Park and one of the best cities in the world, NYC!
