Riddhi Kumar Instagram – Hi guys. Here’s Jyoti. She has had polio since her childhood and I always saw her in her joyride having a good time. Then came the monsoon of 2021. Her wheelchair stopped working few months back because of the rust it collected. By then I had shifted to Mumbai.
She’s my neighbours house helps daughter and in a way always made me feel really positive about life. We said random hi hellos and I would see her being so happy turning her wheels. But this time I saw her on the ground and I got to know that her wheelchair had stopped working completely. So I ordered one for her and tried to involve the entire community that stays around involving army wives who’s husbands are posted in the border like my dad who is in the Siachen base camp. I realised that sometimes people want to do things but they just need some sort of initiation and motivation to do so. I’m so so so grateful to every neighbor who pitched in from the #indianarmy so that we could send rice, wheat flour, clothes etc for Jyoti.
This happened a few months back but I never thought of posting about it because it was just something that happened but my best friend and my mom made me realise that if I do wish to see more of this happening then I should put it out there so that someone else might also get motivated to help around.
I very honestly do believe that kindness is such a superpower and this is just humane and anything below is inhuman so I really really do hope that whenever we come across such situations we can help out and if we lack the resources then at least motivate our community to help out and understand that THIS IS WHAT MATTERS ❤️
