Ramya Subramanian Instagram – ‘You don’t know this new me.
I put back my pieces differently.’

This is the phase of life I am in now 👆🏻💯.

This was shot for a upcoming project which I haven’t fully shared to you. That’s for another day 😄👍🏻.

I was so excited for this one as it is my big official Fitness Photoshoot and that too with the one and only @venketramg 🙏🏻♥️🤩.

There was a time in my life where I would look in the mirror and hate what I saw. Face is too big, body is not proportionate, flabby and fluffy everywhere – the list would go on and on.

When I saw myself during this shoot , strangely a part of that came back to me after so many years. I couldn’t help but quickly notice that the skin around my midsection wasn’t sitting perfectly inside my active wear. I felt I was not photo ready for a fitness photoshoot.I din’t feel quite ok .

And then came @venketramg . He sat me down and gave me his two cents ,asking me to stop letting my critical voice take control and own the body I have made naturally with a crazy amount of hard work,discipline and training.This was exactly what I needed. It changed my entire mental dialogue instantly 🔥🫶🏻 .

Our bodies are meant to move, and make shapes. We are humans, not mannequins.

Normalising this is important and to help spread a different message, even though there’s a long way to go,let me take a little step forward with this post 👍🏻✔️🙋🏻‍♀️.

Here I am, owning the body I curated. No six packs , no steroids here – only a work of labour 🙌🏻😇💯👍🏻💛.
