Human rights organizations, independent journalists, and other civil society groups are on the frontlines, defending the dream of a free, democratic Ukraine and responding to the immediate needs of the people. As these groups lead the humanitarian response, do the essential reporting and documentation of war crimes, and help protect the human dignity of all those who have been forced to flee, the Open Society Foundations have launched the Ukraine Democracy Fund to support them in this work.
