Hans Zimmer Instagram – I know you all love our @HansZimmerLive shows, but have you ever met the band members?! We are a wacky and crazy bunch and it was about time to introduce everyone! For the first #HansZimmerLive Meet the Band… it’s the iconic Ms. @TinaGuo! Born in China to classical musicians, Tina fell in love with heavy metal and bought an electric cello to weaponize the sounds of an electric guitar. She struggled for years and did odd jobs like doing infomercials, playing the cello at funerals and even considered training to become a dominatrix. As a last-ditch effort to become a genre-fluid cellist, she recorded a metal version of “Flight of the Bumblebee” that went viral, and that music video inspired me to hire her for the #SherlockHolmes movie and eventually #WonderWoman. She puts on one hell of a live show, too!
