You might have heard me playing this one out in DJ sets or in my Radio 1 essential mix a while ago. Whilst on a trip in Australia that we took just the two of us, this was one of the first tracks we started working on together for his upcoming solo album 'Hideous Bastard'. From hearing it in its earliest stages in the studio I'm so excited for this to be finally out in the world. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it. Produced by me ;)

Jamie XX Instagram – I’m so pleased to announce that Oliver’s album Hideous Bastard will be released on September 9. Oliver and I worked on this record for years and had the best time doing it. I can’t wait for you all to hear it. Here is a clip from the video for Hideous, the new track, out today. I’m not ashamed to say that I still get emotional when I hear this song even though I’ve heard it a thousand times in all it’s agonising unfinished states. For me it represents the depth of Oliver and I’s friendship that I could not have expressed in words and I am touched that he was able to be so vulnerable with me in the studio to create this song.
