Kevin Love Instagram – The Amahoro troop 🦍 Trekking to this family of mountain Gorillas and seeing them in their natural habitat is likely the most surreal and humbling experience I’ve ever had. You know those moments when you say to yourself “DAMN I FEEL ALIVE!!!” — this was one of them. The excitement and nervous energy I felt were reminders to put my cameras down and not solely focus on capturing the moment, but live in it. The star was without a doubt the 9 month old (slide 2). And the moments I did have my camera present, him and his 430lb silverback father were the best to photograph. Less than 10 feet was all that separated us…easily the most one sided matchup of my career. Sad to have only had one day to spend in Volcanoes National Park. But it’s not a goodbye Rwanda – rather a see you later. Thank you for this natural high. We will be back…and hopefully soon. #rwanda 🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼
