Mahathir Mohamad Instagram – Dari kecil, anak-anak perlu diberi semangat untuk menimba ilmu pengetahuan untuk masa depan mereka. Jika mereka tekun, mereka akan mendapat manfaat darinya. Sistem pendidikan juga hendaklah bersedia dengan perkembangan terkini yang sesuai bagi memenuhi pasaran pekerjaan pada masa depan. Pelajar juga ada nilai yang baik. Jika nilai tidak betul, ilmu boleh disalahguna bagi tujuan yang salah. Selain itu, guru dan ibu bapa juga harus beri perhatian kepada mereka yang kurang berkebolehan kerana mereka bukan tidak boleh buat tetapi perlu diberi perhatian lebih sedikit supaya mereka ini juga boleh berjaya. Pagi tadi di Majlis Perasmian Kejayaan Pelajar Cemerlang SPM 2021 anjuran PTTI saya berpeluang menyampaikan anugerah kepada pelajar-pelajar Cemerlang SPM 2021. Ukuran cemerlang ini bukan sahaja mereka yang mendapat banyak ‘A’ tetapi mereka yang menunjukkan peningkatan ketara dalam SPM 2021 berbanding keputusan peperiksaan sebelum ini. Tahniah kepada pelajar-pelajar yang berjaya. Teruskan kecemerlangan dan bersedialah untuk menyumbang kepada negara yang tercinta ini.
Mahathir Mohamad Instagram – OUT OF CONTEXT 1. The report on what I said at the meeting with Malays is not accurate. I am not asking Malaysia to claim the land that we had lost. I am trying to point out that we are so concerned over losing a table-size rock but never about bigger parts of Malaysia when they were taken from us. Losing Pulau Batu Puteh is no big deal. It was the mistake of the Johore Government to deny that the rock belonged to Johor. Had that denial not been made, there would be no dispute now. 2. We should be grateful that the world court awarded Pulau Ligitan and Sipadan to us. They are much more valuable than Pulau Batu Puteh – just a rock outcrop.
