Nathaniel Ho Instagram – Remember the other day when I posted about @wetuftsg on my stories? Here’s the final result! My design was a bit more complicated for a beginner, so I actually had quite a bit of help from @erikaosman, especially when it came to the more detailed portions of the design! It’s way more challenging than it looks (and a great forearm workout), but she was very patient and kind, so the session was super enjoyable! Why did I choose to tuft a microphone design? Well, aside from the fact that I’m more focused on songwriting on a more professional and commercial level these days, there’s also a really practical aspect of it. I have a mobile recording set-up, and many times I’ll be recording from home or airbnb if I’m traveling, and apartments aren’t necessarily the best places to record because of room reverb and reflections, so having a rug I can place on the wall near my microphone will actually help to absorb some of those reflections and give me a clearer recording to work with! Pretty ingenious, if you ask me 😎 Anyhoo, swipe to see more photos of the tufting process!
