It’s an imperfect process in a deeply flawed system, but it is a tool thru which our system can be improved and existing rights be protected. There are people who have sacrificed plenty—risked and given their lives—for these rights. It is important to vote. And let it be one step of many that you take—a first step towards action, rather than a Hail Mary flourish like “I did it!” If there are any feelings of inadequacy that arise as you do, search them for clues.
