Yoo Ah-in Instagram – [Upcoming Exhibition] 《백설공주와 일곱 친구들》 By 쥬 소사이어티 2022년 8월 26일 (금) ~ 9월 30일 (금) 스튜디오 콘크리트와 상하이 밴가드 갤러리 @vanguardg 는 아티스트 그룹 쥬 소사이어티 (Jiū Society) @jiusociety 의 프로젝트 《백설공주와 일곱 친구들》을 소개한다. 본 프로젝트는 장소 특정 설치, 조형물, 프린트, 비디오 및 크립토 캐릭터를 포함한 다양한 매체로 구성된다. 전시의 제목은 1937년 디즈니 〈백설공주와 일곱 난쟁이〉의 등장인물을 중심으로 리메이크된 1955년 홍콩 뮤지컬 코미디 영화 〈설고칠우〉(雪姑七友-백설공주와 일곱 친구)에서 영감을 얻었다. 쥬 소사이어티는 〈설고칠우〉에서 영감받아 1979년 이후 문화대혁명으로 중국 개방과 함께 일어난 사회, 경제적 개혁을 경험하며 자란 예술가들의 이야기를 만들어낸다. 쥬 소사이어티의 새로운 예술적 실험에 당신을 초대한다. 《Snow White & Her Seven Friends》 By Jiū Society August 26 to September 30, 2022 Shanghai based Vanguard Gallery @vanguardg and Studio Concrete Seoul are proud to present “Snow White & Her Seven Friends”, an ongoing art initiation conceived by the artist collective Jiū Society @jiusociety . The ongoing project involves a mix of media including site-specific installations, sculptures, paintings, videos and crypto art. The project took its title from the 1955 Hong Kong musical comedy Suit Koo Chup Yew (Snow White & Her Seven Friends) which was loosely structured around the characters of the 1937 Disney animation Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Inspired by Suit Koo Chup Yew, Jiū Society retells the story to reflect the conundrums of post-1979 China where the artists grew up with a series of intense social and economic reformations since the country’s reopening to the world after the Cultural Revolution.
