The towering black fin, six feet high, gliding out of the water atop the massive back of a thirty-foot killer whale. MOMENT OF MY LIFE! When we saw the T65A matriline (Bigg’s Transient) Orcas are matriarchal- they live in pods and have extreme social behaviours – better than humans. They echolocate and communicate with one another. They have memory and they pass it along to new calves. The more I know and the more I read is less. The T65A pod we saw here were 2 mommas and theirs 3 babies each. Total 8.
