Carolina Gaitán Instagram – Los Angeles reminds me of my dreams. I’ve always believed that they, the angels, help us to fulfill them. I was born in Villavicencio a small city in Colombia and I thought that being an actress was something unattainable in a family where only I seemed to have this type of motivation related to acting, singing, perform. I came to live here a few years ago and everything seemed so difficult, getting agents, managers. They told me I wasn’t the Latin@ stereotype, neither brown skin nor voluptuous and I do not speak perfect English. I missed my family, my friends, the “arepas” OMG I missed them soo much! But something told me to keep trying, studying, rigorously with discipline because something beautiful and great could happen . Something where I could contribute with what I am, with what I have worked for since I was a child and as a Latina in this place.
