Deanna Yusoff Instagram – I have spent many weeks deliberating about posting something, but I have been unable to find the inspiration to put anything meaningful out there. I’ve had some kind messages from some of you asking if I was ok and why I had gone quiet. Thank you for checking in on me, you know who you are. In the last few months I have watched friends lose loved ones, others have lost their jobs and then recently people losing their homes to the floods in Malaysia, tragedies compounded by the uncertainties of the pandemic. I too have had my share of challenges, physically and emotionally, and all of this weighed down on me heavily. I became exhausted and the last thing I wanted to do was post something showing that everything was ok. I needed to reset. I turned to quieter activities and surrounded myself with like-minded people so that I could find some balance and peace. This has always helped me in the past. I reminded myself that dancing with the energies of love, kindness, peace, joy, music, breath, meditation, gratitude and colour always helped to energise me. Today with this drawing, I was reminded that there is always a way through our struggles. There is love everywhere, whether it’s from someone buying a boat and saving people stranded in their homes or volunteers cooking food for the homeless, or even just a kind word of encouragement from a friend.
