• ME: Do you guys have ‘I Voted’ stickers?
I says to the brave Volunteer risking his health during a pandemic because he believes in something. (Double side note, I respect everyone who’s volunteered this year.) The kid in me was bummed last time I voted. They had run out of stickers.
• GENTLEMAN VOLUNTEER: Is this your first year voting?
He said it with such gusto. The utter excitement in his voice felt I’d be letting him down if I said ‘no’. As though it instilled a kind of hope in him for the future. The young have chosen to stand their ground and speak!
