Nicole Seah Instagram – Had a food distribution with @abdulshariff.sg and the WP EC team today. The strength of the volunteer numbers are testament to their dedication, given that we’re in the middle of a lull period in between election cycles where there is typically less interest in joining political grassroots activities. We’ve been engaging with these households for a number of months now, and have formed steadfast relationships with them as they come to expect our visit every month. A household had a large family of 6 children but it was touching to see them work as a close knit team to collect the food items from us and carry them to the kitchen. Another household had an elderly resident whose children had mental health challenges or difficulty holding down a job, but she was clearly very proud of her granddaughter who is working as a junior designer on conglomerate projects. We’re always on the lookout to help such families and to help them achieve a semblance of social mobility and sustenance, and will continue to do so to the best of our abilities.
