Six months post bone marrow transplant, Alfie continues on his turbulent yet ultimately positive journey. He still has hospital visits twice a week and is on a plethora of medication morning and evening and takes it all in his stride. He is still home-schooling and very limited as to outdoor activities he’s allowed to do but is starting to get out more, especially to play tennis indoors which he adores. When he is stuck inside he exercises his mind by reading, knitting, doing 1,000 piece puzzles and learning how to play chess.
We continue to be ever grateful for all the love and support from everyone around us and his rare condition is still a stark reminder of how important it is for anyone who can to donate blood and to get on the bone marrow registry in the UK by visiting DKMS.org.uk | Posted on 01/Sep/2022 20:35:40
