Jacob Dudman Instagram – In this picture I’m wearing my ‘Kintsugi’ t-shirt. In Japanese culture this means “golden rejoining” – the art of fixing broken pottery back together with Gold. It shows us that by embracing our imperfections, by giving our time and attention to a healing process, we can become something stronger and more beautiful than before.
This #MentalHealthAwareness week, remember to be kind to yourself. Nobody’s perfect, and we are always learning and evolving.
If you’re going through hard times, remember to keep good company and not hide away from your feelings. Take the time to learn more about yourself.
Heal through honesty, love and care for yourself and others. Then – and only then – your true self will be seen.
“Pain is a gift. Without the capacity for pain, we can’t feel the hurt we inflict.” – The Doctor.
