Ages ago, my friend @sprayingbricks took us on a street art tour in London, and introduced us to @dface_official, who showed us his studio. I even got a chance to see his work in Portugal. Now, they’ve put up an incredible show at the Corey Helford Gallery until Aug. 10. I’m fascinated by their journey from graffiti to gallery- vandalism to vindication- illegal to illuminating. I sometimes find it hard to enjoy art- but I find this show beautiful and extremely satisfying. Go. You’ll love. Although I’m positive he drew no influence from @therookieabc, let’s just pretend he did with the cop stuff.

@jamesgunn is one of those friends you never stop learning from. Whatever that “cool” factor is that makes someone so amazing, is the same thing he gives away so freely. He shines so bright, but never puts you in his shadow. Rather, he shares his light. That’s the warmth you feel when he’s around. He’s abundantly kind, and doesn’t even realize how kind he is. He has integrity, and I’m proud to call him a friend. Happy birthday, James. I couldn’t decide which shirt to wear to honor you today. Also, I didn’t get you anything. Also, I’m pretty sure I missed your birthday.
