Within a year of this defining moment in the Civil Rights Movement, the Civil Rights Act was passed, followed shortly by the Voting Rights Act — both landmark moments for our country that brought us closer to liberty and justice for ALL. Nearly six decades later, Dr. King’s words continue to inspire us. “The #MLK dream is a challenge and a beacon of light that beckons our world forward to a better future. Every day, we are called to do something to help fulfill the #dream. No matter what kind of work you do, remember that you can serve humanity as a force for peace, justice and equity.” - Martin Luther King III   Today, as we celebrate this moment in our Nation's history, and celebrate the legendary visionary and courageous leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., let us continue to honor his legacy by VOTING and advocating for voting rights, paying it forward by looking for opportunities to serve in our own communities, and supporting organizations that continue to drive progress.   Congratulations to my dear friend Martin Luther King III and his wife, Arndrea Waters King on the founding of The Drum Major Coalition -- learn more by following him @officialmlking3 or visiting drummajorcoalition.org.   As a nation, we have come so far — but we certainly have substantial work left to do. Let us DECIDE to FOCUS on the commonality and humanity that UNITES us. Let’s do the work together, and continue to build a future that promises peace, justice, and equality for all.  ✌️❤️

Tony Robbins Instagram – I was saddened to hear of the passing of my friend, the last leader of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev.

Many years ago, I had the privilege of sharing a jet ride with Mr. Gorbachev. We had four hours in the air together and I took the opportunity to ask him:

What really ended the Cold War?

Of course, the big things were obvious – the collapse of the Soviet Union, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and so on. But I had the belief that the driving force behind the biggest changes we see are really the little things that, once in motion, become a catalyst for total transformation.

I told the story of that flight to my friend, the late, Larry King, which you can watch here.

In his day, Mr. Gorbachev was celebrated as a hero of the end of the Cold War for which he was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize and named “Man of the Decade” by Time magazine.

Mr. Gorbachev’s leadership set a course of action that led to the dissolving of the Soviet Union and paved the way for greater freedoms for millions of people. Alongside President Reagan, Mr. Gorbachev truly changed the world.
