Brittany Ishibashi Instagram – A year ago today, I flew off on an adventure with my Dad and my 4 month old baby ✈️
We landed in New Orleans just ahead of #HurricaneIda, drove 2.5 hours north to Natchez …and waited…. For a while, Ida was tracking to pass straight over us… It left a devastating path, but the winds took it east and it was downgraded as it traveled. We only missed a day of production (the stars are always shining on @dllewis82 – I’m convinced it’s because he is a star himself) and I was excited to jump right in to filming with my forever friend and sister @theerincahill (who if you don’t know, is an actual unicorn of a human and produced AND starred in this movie!!). I also got to meet the radiant and hilarious @aliliebert, who immediately became a sister by calling out my awkward moments and bonding with me over musical theatre.
What a GIFT this movie was…! I made so many new friends and got to collaborate with old ones (hi, @theryansands )— all while having an incredibly fun time bicycling around town, eating DELICIOUS FOOD, and oh yeah, filming a HALLMARK CHRISTMAS MOVIE!! 🥰
I am also overwhelmingly grateful to have had this special time with my dad. We got to explore, have wonderful conversations over meals, prepare for a hurricane together…and seeing him connect and bond with Makena?!? The moments are forever etched in my heart. You are a true rock star, @geraldishibashi ❤️
