Freida Pinto Instagram – Some true feelings here. I am not always comfortable baring myself- my thoughts and feelings, my heart, my vulnerability into the public sphere. I get anxious after I finish an interview thinking what if I said too much and what if it gets misconstrued, misinterpreted? This is the nature of my profession. I love the escape and the disappearing into stories and characters but on the flip side, the exposure and criticism can make me want to hide in a cave. I say all of this because after a very long time I am reading an interview that I did that doesn’t betray my openness and honesty. My words are my words and the writer’s prose is soulful, thoughtful and respectful. The pictures, shot on a film camera, make me feel seen. Not as a model or as an actress…but simply just a human- a woman who loves flowers and fashion and has something to say that matters to her. This doesn’t happen always but I am learning that in this fast paced life it’s even more important to pause and smell the roses and appreciate those who pause with you and don’t rush you.
