How do you properly celebrate a man that’s spent the last century quite literally changing our culture for the better? Which of the endless goosebump inducing anecdotes lived by his side do I choose to share? How can I explain that this man has changed me so profoundly and that I’m only one of an endless amount of humans that share that sentiment? I simply can’t. So I’ll just say that I don’t know what I did to deserve getting to know and exist and create and work and laugh alongside this extraordinary human, but I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to be a a person deserving of such an honor. Grandpa Norman, you deserve every bit of love that will be thrown your way today and so much more. Can’t wait to give you a squeeze, tell you how much I love you and hear your usual “better now” when I ask how you are. 💛
