Plus, we’ve got technology to connect with people and provide the medical and emotional support they deserve, no matter where they are. While not a cure-all, telemedicine abortion is a bright spot in all of this. But only 1 in 4 people know that medication abortion is an option. Medication abortion accounts for more than half of all U.S. abortions and is up to 98% effective up to 11 weeks. Yet, a majority of adults (73%) and of women between ages 18-49 (60%) have not heard medication abortion—that needs to change, ASAP. While everyone is understandably shocked, scared and scrambling, @heyjanehealth is mounting an educational campaign right now. While this decision is a devastating blow to people across the country, especially Black and brown people, low-income people, and young people, as a telemedicine provider of safe and effective medication abortion, @heyjanehealth will continue treating patients and providing high-quality abortion access.
